It's no longer possible to open Dropbox files in native applications
Is it no longer possible to open files in native applications (Adobe Acrobat DC, Photoshop, etc.) from the Dropbox file viewer? Dropbox suddenly seems to restrict all viewing and editing to built-in,...

Hi Hannah, thank you for your response.
I may have jumped the gun. Today it is working fine. See screenshot. However, yesterday the "Open in" option was NOT present in the dropdown menu, and I looked for it while opening several Dropbox files in the browser. Does this make any sense at all?
Next time I will wait, or try another browser first.

I'm glad to see that today everything is working as it should.
Perhaps there was a temporary issue with the browser cache or the site itself, but indeed, when it comes to website issues, our suggestion is always to try another browser first, just to compare the behavior.
In any case, let us know if you need anything else!

We are having this same issue. We use to be able browse files in Dropbox on Chrome and right click and open in Photoshop. It was quick and easy. But now that option is no longer there and Photoshop is not available to connect to Dropbox. Is this no longer available? We don't want to have to sync or download every file in order to open in Photoshop (we have a very large collection of Photoshop projects).

Hi stylist, could you try these steps to see if this helps with opening the file locally? The files might need to be made available offline for this to work.
