The desktop app appears up to date, but my file hasn't been downloaded.
Hi, hope someone can help me here. Im trying to download a file through desktop app and once its all synced, it says 'Sync Completed' but doesnt shows the file on my desktop folder. I tried restarting the app and pc both but nothing helps.
I have a doubt here about disk space. So, let me clear it a bit-
So, the file im syncing is 400gb and available space on disc is 700 gb
There is more then enough space for sync but does it needs 400gb space more when it flushes the file over disk?
I dont know may be im wrong but if anyone can guide, It ll be very helpfull. Thank you!

Welcome aboard the Community, tera Maan!
Do you mean that this is a file that was recently added to your Dropbox account and the desktop app was in the process of syncing it locally? How did you try to download it exactly?
Did you download the file directly from www.dropbox.com and it got saved on another location of your computer?
Your available hard drive space should be enough indeed in order to sync this file locally. If the file is 400GB, then this is space it should be taking on your local hard drive, too.
To have a clearer idea of what’s happening though, can you send me a screenshot of your Dropbox app’s syncing status and app version?
Let me know once you have more info.
