"This file cannot be previewed because you are offline" when previewing images in my Dropbox folder.

Help please. I cannot preview images in my dropbox folders. I get this message.This file cannot be previewed because you are offline.I do not understand how i can be offline.   On maclaptop os So...

This issue has been around for months if not years. It is intermittent which makes it especially frustrating. All the 'help' and 'advice' from Dropbox appears to be useless. Time to leave Dropbox as it is no longer fit for my purpose.
