3 years agoHey Larry8369 - sorry to jump in here, but have you tried clearing the app's cache at all since you first noticed this?
Also, does the issue persist on a web browser too?

I have not viewed them on a web browser and never cleared the cash. But like pay per view services the likes of Netflix and others, all movies play well on my iPhone. My expectations when o pay for a service it should work regardless of the device Iâm using.

Hey Larry8369, we appreciate your feedback on this and I'll make sure to pass your comments along to our team.
I would highly suggest that you do clear the Dropbox app's cache, if that's where you're seeing the issue, to see if it helps, but keep in mind that the previews of the files are not necessarily representative of the quality of the actual video.
If you'd like to view your video in its full quality, you can download it either to your phone or your computer.
The same goes for your issue as well, Dylanlauder. I moved your post here, since the issue is pretty similar.
If you're having this issue on our website, I would suggest trying a different browser or to clear your browser's cache, but do keep in mind the above.
- Larry83693 years agoExplorer | Level 4You mentioned application cache and the browser cache. Which is it? As I said, the last time I played my videos on my iPhone from the Dropbox App they played fine. I hadnât cleared any cache. This was the first time the video was good. So whatever youâve said to do doesnât seem to be the problem or the solution.

In your case, Larry, since you're using the Dropbox mobile app, you'd need to clear the app's cache.
To do so, you need to tap on "account", then on the gear icon and then on "clear cache".
But do you mean that your videos now play fine? Is the issue resolved? I'm not clear on that, sorry.
- Dylanlauder3 years agoExplorer | Level 3Thanks, I just cleared my cache but Iâm not sure if it will really fix the problem Iâm having. For my specific situation I am sending a folder of videos to a friend. From his side, they are also bad quality and when he saves/downloads them, they are still bad quality.

Thanks for clarifying your way of sharing/uploading the files, Dylan.
If you upload them to your Dropbox, do the previews look okay on your end?
