Why can't I open a pdf in Books?

I use an iPad Air and a windows laptop. I have resorted to emailing my pdf to myself and opening it in books as normal . This is not how I usually do it but it works . It would be great if the development team could address this problem and maybe even talk to the Apple people who could probably help them sort it , since everyone is making money there must be an answer.

Thanks in anticipation

Sue

Hi Sailor Sue, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you clarify exactly what issue you're experiencing?

You haven't described what you're trying to achieve via the Dropbox mobile app, or any errors you're receiving.

This will help me to assist further!

    Hi Jay,

I use my iPad air to read pdfs which are in Dropbox, stored on my laptop.

usually I can use the top right hand corner to choose  see image 1

This morning I found a share tab image 2

this offered me the option to send a copy of the file I tapped it and I could then open the document in Books see image 3

so I seem to have sorted it myself.
