Downgrading from Dropbox Plus to Dropbox Basic, will the shared folders be deleted?
My Dropbox plan downgraded from 2TB to 2GB. My uploaded files are 300GB, and I understand that new file uploads are impossible, but existing files won't be deleted. Instead,I'm getting a notification that files may be deleted. Even if my plan is lower, won't the files in shared folders provided by others be deleted?
Hey Dubukongbizi - thanks for posting on our Community and happy Friday!
You can start by taking a look at this help center article, and let us know if you have any follow up questions. More specifically, shared folders will be temporarily left based on ownership:
- Shared folders not owned by you will be removed from your directory without deleting contents.
- Shared folders you own will also be removed, allowing other users to maintain access.
I hope this helps!
