How do I unlink from my account a file shared with me by another user?
Hi, can anyone tell me if there's a way to unlink a shared file from my account? It's not my file, so I can't delete it (Dropbox might let me do so, but it's not my file so I shouldn't try). It's large and eating into my quota, and I don't want it on my Dropbox account. There is no folder containing it which I can unlink--just the file.

Thanks for posting on our forum, cmk68.
If the file has been shared by someone else, they should still be able to access it, even if you delete it from your own Dropbox account.
There's no other way to "unlink" it, I'm afraid.
Let me know, if you need further help though.
