If I move a shared document, will it also get moved for the owner?
A co-worker shared a doc with me. I'm using dropbox on the web. When I'm editing this doc I have an option in my sidebar that reads "Give this doc a home" with a "Move to Folder" button under it. I'm not very familiar with dropbox and I don't want to do anything that is going to relocate the document from the perspective of the guy who shared it. Yeah I know that's unlikely but I can't take the chance and I can't find any information on this anywhere. Can someone confirm that this will only alter the location of the document in my own folder structure and will not in any way alter the location from the perspective of the owner? Thanks in advance,
Cannot delete a shared folder (of which I am the owner). The site keeps glitching.
I cannot delete a shared folder or any files in it (I am the owner). It has some large files in it and nobody needs them anymore. The website just keeps glitching and not letting me unshare the folder or delete anything. IS THIS A SCAM TO FORCE ME TO PAY MORE???? Not cool, Dropbox. Let me manage my situation, please!!! As a starving artist, I do not have extra dollars to give your corporation. Also, you could at least have someone available to HELP ME OUT with this without asking me for more money to upgrade to "eligible for customer service" status. B.S. Come on, dudes....
How can I restore a folder that I moved instead of copying from another user?
How can I restore the folder that I had moved instead of copying it from another Dropbox colleague. I need to "return" it to my colleague. I am not one who knows very much about this type of mistake. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you Paul 76
Delete shared links in bulk
Dropbox you are killing me... you give me notifications that we have hundreds of links shared, but no bulk way to remove them. What's worse? While I can delete the thousands that I made over the last 3 years, I CANNOT DELETE FOR TEAM MEMBERS WHO HAVE LEFT. If you give me the warning there is a security issue of shared links, then have a quick resolution for it.

Hi, I have logged onto my Dropbox account and all of my files are missing. I have not been on in a couple of months and now everything is gone. I looked through deleted files and events. Nothing shows up. Is this something that can happen? What is the problem? They were definitely on this account.
Random unrecognized file in Recents Dropbox, that I can't remove.
I have a file that was apparently shared with me that I can only open in dropbox from the recents section, all files, or menu bar on mac. The file does not show up in any of the folders even though it says it's saved in "dropbox." When I attempt to delete/remove the file I do not have any options that allow that. I searched for a shared folder but there are none and strangely this file doesn't show up in the shared section. It's some stupid sexual anime ( which of course my kids vehemently deny knowing anything about) so I am a little concerned about hacking but the file info says it was shared with me back in April and I've had no suspicious activity in my account. Is this a support issue or am I just missing how to get rid of this file?
Files that I shared with view-only rights have disappeared from my Dropbox account.
Files that I have shared with view only access have disappeared, but theyr're still accessible through the shared view only link with the file saying my account isn't the file owner. From what I understood Files can only be moved or deleted by non-file owners through a link with edit permissions - am I wrong? I'm hoping to be able to restore my files back into my Dropbox as I only intended to share these files for others to view and download, with no ability to edit the file.
