My files appear to be empty after editing
Hello, I'm on an ASUS Zenbook running Windows 11. I have a shared dropbox folder that constantly has files getting wiped/copied (when they get copied they are empty) showing up on the dropbox. It always shows me editing the file and its usually multiple at the exact same time. All the files have nothing in them and instead are blank. I know you can restore the file but its been happening for months and across multiple different shared folders and its honestly a headache to fix. Help appreciated, thanks in advance.
Weeks of Dropbox files are gone. Can I restore them somehow?
HELP! All our Dropbox files from May annd June are gone. We have checked through the app and online and the most recent files available are from the last week of April. This is catastrophic — my wife and I have used shared files in Dropbox for years and years to track bills, taxes and other critical functions. This has never happened before. If anyone can help, please, I ask for you to chime in, thank you.
If I move a shared document, will it also get moved for the owner?
A co-worker shared a doc with me. I'm using dropbox on the web. When I'm editing this doc I have an option in my sidebar that reads "Give this doc a home" with a "Move to Folder" button under it. I'm not very familiar with dropbox and I don't want to do anything that is going to relocate the document from the perspective of the guy who shared it. Yeah I know that's unlikely but I can't take the chance and I can't find any information on this anywhere. Can someone confirm that this will only alter the location of the document in my own folder structure and will not in any way alter the location from the perspective of the owner? Thanks in advance,
Cannot delete a shared folder (of which I am the owner). The site keeps glitching.
I cannot delete a shared folder or any files in it (I am the owner). It has some large files in it and nobody needs them anymore. The website just keeps glitching and not letting me unshare the folder or delete anything. IS THIS A SCAM TO FORCE ME TO PAY MORE???? Not cool, Dropbox. Let me manage my situation, please!!! As a starving artist, I do not have extra dollars to give your corporation. Also, you could at least have someone available to HELP ME OUT with this without asking me for more money to upgrade to "eligible for customer service" status. B.S. Come on, dudes....How can I restore a folder that I moved instead of copying from another user?
How can I restore the folder that I had moved instead of copying it from another Dropbox colleague. I need to "return" it to my colleague. I am not one who knows very much about this type of mistake. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you Paul 76
