Android App not uploading photos anymore
Paid dropbox account, Samsung S4
Dropbox app on android device no longer uploads photos. Trying clearing cache on android device, no luck
I reinstalled the android app, and it appears to be working for me again. I am still trying to find the perfect solution for automatically moving pictures from android to dropbox.

Hey D K.7,Thanks for getting back to me. Are you using the Camera Uploads feature? If so, can you tell me if all photos aren’t being uploaded, or certain ones/types?Also, can you see if photos upload when set to Wifi Only (in our app’s Camera Uploads How to upload settings), and if they upload when set to Wifi or Data plan, and let me know?Cheers - kirksel9 years agoHelpful | Level 5

What can I do? - Sanchez9 years ago

I had the same problem on my Android.
Uninstalling and installing the dropbox app fixed the issue.

kirksel, are you still experiencing this issue? Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling our app?Cheers - Brandon B.18 years agoHelpful | Level 7
Dropbox version 80.2.2
Motorola Moto X4
Same problem. Photo sync used to work, now it doesn't. It hasn't for weeks, maybe months.
To get them to upload, I have to go into the Dropbox settings, turn off automatic upload of photos, and then turn it back on again. One suggestion I have seen is to go into the "Battery Optimization" screen on the phone, and set Dropbox to "not optimized". I did that. It made no difference.
I'm looking at switching to Google Backup & Sync. I would rather not.

I contacted support via chat. They had even less idea what's wrong or how to fix it than anyone in this thread. I'll uninstall and reinstall the android app, and if that doesn't fix it, I'll give Google Backup & Sync a try.
P.S. I'm a paying customer. I pay for 1TB of Dropbox space.
