Can I opt out of the Dropbox Backup update without disabling Backup?
The Dropbox Backup update is going to cause some serious problems for me for one reason: the removal of the "Make files online-only" feature is a lot of the reason I use Dropbox in the first place, because I don't have enough space on any given drive. I have more files set to Online Only than there would be total space in my drive even if it were completely empty.
But I can't disable Backup, either -- the only other option it's giving me -- because I use it heavily, and a lot of file paths will break if moved to be outside of the Dropbox directory.
I'm at a total loss here. Right now it seems my only real option is to keep the window informing me of the update permanently open.
If nothing else, please reconsider the removal this feature, because it's a very important feature to have.

Hi LendriMujina, and welcome aboard our Community.
So, from what I understand, you haven’t updated Dropbox Backup yet to the latest version, correct? If not, then you can leave it as it is for now, but at some point it’s quite possible that the old version will no longer be available and you’ll need to update it anyways.
I’ve passed your feedback on this though to our team, so that they can also check your comments here and take this into account.
Feel free to ping me, if you need something else.

Thank you. Right now I don't have much of a choice but to delete a very large amount of my data, and that's proving stressful because not all of it can be replaced.
There is also the matter of the notification window. I can't close it without either accepting the update or disabling Backup. Clicking the close button does nothing. For the time being I have to just move it out of the way and try to ignore it.

Hey LendriMujina, thanks for your feedback on this.
Regarding the notification window you mentioned, are you still having an issue with it?
Have you restarted the computer, to see if that helps?
