drop box sync problem after upgrading
My drop box app will not sync with my home computer. I upgraded and it still has not performed as it
- 3 years ago
Hi,
no, nothing changed as just checking didn't solve the problem.
FYI: I solved the problem now by updating my OS to Ventura 13.1, because I had to go on working. This meant spending money for other software that needed to be updated for that step, but obviously this dropbox update isn't compatible with Mac OS 12.6 - you should make a disclaimer!
All the best,

After the update of the Dropbox app for macOS, the Dropbox folder was moved to ~/Library/CloudStorage.
Is that where you've been adding your files to?

Hi,
thanks for your answer!
During the update it said, itâd would move all files to a new folder. In the Finder sidebar Dropbox is now found above the system disk (have to get used to that).
BUT: If I click on the system disk and open âLibraryâ folder, there is no directory âCloudStorageâ in there. Do I have to generate it? And if the files arenât there, where are they? They ARE on my harddrive- and I was convinced they were moved during the update process⊠đ€

Hey silverface! I hope youâre doing well.
The local Dropbox folder should have been moved automatically to the new location, after choosing to install the new Dropbox update for MacOS.
Can you please send me a screenshot of your Dropbox appâs current syncing status, as well as one more of what you see when opening your Finderâs Library? Iâd like to have a visual and investigate this further.
Thanks!

Here's a screen of the syncing status:
Please tell me what exactly you mean /w "the Finder's Library".
Thanks and all the best,
