Dropbox stuck at "Starting"
Date: 6/24/2018
OS: macOS Sierra Version 10.12.6 (updated last week and then didn't use my laptop until yesterday)

Update: a complete uninstall, and reinstall using the latest offline installer (version 52.4.60) seemed to fix the problem.

I have the same issue after upgrading to Mojave 10.14.4 / Dropbox 69.4.102.
Endless "starting" state.
No firewall.
Neither by Business nor my Personal account is syncing.

I have the same problem. Dropbox keeps starting forever.
My sync folder is on E/Dropbox and program is stuck in "starting" for about 4 days.

Hi, I did the following things and finally solved the problem:
1) Zipped one big folder with about 270.000 files that I don't need often and I deleted it (original folder) and uploaded the .zip file in Dropbox cloud / still left about 700.000 files in 190GB that I need often.
2) Uninstalled Dropbox with Revo uninstaller and removed all leftovers.
3) Renamed Dropbox folder to Dropbox-OLD, just to have a data backup.
4) I downloaded the offline installer of the latest stable version (72.4.136) and linked to partition for Dropbox (in my case E/Dropbox).
After several hours of syncing, I finally see "up to date" notification. Regards, Vladan.
