Dropbox upload sync is very slow
Hi, I've been using Dropbox business for years now with my current company and my previous two jobs. I'm trying to archive all my old footage and while I have 1000mbps up and down, my upload on dropbox is about 12mbps. I'm trying to upload dozens of terabytes and this is going to delay things significantly. Help!

Hey Real Nice Films, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Since you've already contacted our support team, could you share your ticket ID so that we can look it up in our system?

No, I got the same line about throttling and server location. Interesting as I get line speed to every other service, dropboxes backend just sucks. I’m moving to Onedrive.

HI@Real Nice Films, I can see that you're currently in communication with the specialist team. They'll be able to assist further in this matter on their end.
- Real Nice Films4 years agoHelpful | Level 5Hi Jay, I'm not sure if that's the case, I just got an email this afternoon from John who has repeated the same troubleshooting information I've been provided previously. Can you confirm if John is part of the specialist team or not? Really hoping for someone to help resolve my issue. Would really appreciate a call tomorrow to discuss further as the correspondence has been slow and confusing.

I can see that they're part of the specialist team, so they'll be able to investigate from there on.

Finally Dropbox admits that it is there fault after a week of back and forth "troubleshooting" on my end. Just got this email last night.
"Dropbox engineers are aware of the problem Australian based customers and are working on a solution. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. We will update you once resolved. "
Great...

Good to hear they fessed up to it!! I always knew the problem was with Dropbox because Google Drive was uploading at the full 40Mbps on the same machine I had Dropbox installed. The admins can deflect and blame other things as much as they like but if quacks like a duck and walks like a duck it's a duck!!

I run a photography business and I have encountered the same thing the past few weeks. I used to average > 8MB/s when uploading my RAW photos to my editor. For the past few weeks I've been lucky to get over 1MB/s. I've run speed tests to check my ISP upload speed and I can easily get 12MB/s. Not sure what has happened over the past couple weeks but this needs to be fixed.

Hey! I need expert support. I have the same problem as the colleagues above. And please, dropbox, don't come up with a ready-made list telling me to go look at bandwidth or anything like that. I've tried everything, but the problem is on your server. I need to fix this for work or I'll have to switch platforms.
