Dropbox won't sync after Sleep (v186.4.6207, macOS Sonoma 14.1)
I have an ongoing Support Ticket open for this issue. Support has been maddeningly slow to respond, hoping you guys have some ideas.
I've seen others post similar behaviour, but here it is agai...

It still happens pretty regularly. Here's my workaround:
Launch Activity Monitor and click on Network. Sort by Name, look for DropboxFileProvider. Force Quit that **bleep**. If the Dropbox app is running, it will immediately create a new instance and sync should resume. At least it's been working for me.
Good luck!

Hi NJSS1975
I've been experiencing exactly the same issue on a MacBook Air. I'm so glad it's not just me that's being driven mad with this issue.
Huge thanks for the work-around. Killing the DropboxFileProvider process seems to kick everything back into life without the need to restart the whole **bleep** laptop every time, so thanks for that.
I assume Dropbox are no nearer a permanent fix for this issue?

Any permanent fix from Dropbox Team for this ? July 2024 and still having the same issue. Happens all the time when I put my Macbook pro ( Sonama 14.3) to sleep.

Sorry to hear that, Jddavid.
Which version of the Dropbox app do you have installed and what's the sync status?
You can hover over your Dropbox icon, to see that info.
Also, have you tried any troubleshooting steps, such as restarting the computer and reinstalling the app, to see if they help?
