File didn't sync or save and I cannot access the computer
I have been working on a word file for months, saving it to Dropbox.
Yesterday my computer would not turn on. It is now in for service and I may or may not receive it back.

When it comes to the syncing issue you mentioned, did you ensure that the Dropbox app was indeed running and syncing normally on your computer before this incident?
As for the previous version of the doc, have you tried taking a look at its version history?

- julie1234562 years agoExplorer | Level 3Hi Walter. When I go to version history, the most recent version available is October 12th. Up until that date, everything was syncing as usual and I had no reason to believe it had stopped until this incident.
