Folder Share-Link Excessive Traffic Rule
Hello - I have a general question about your Excessive Traffic Rule regarding Dropbox Share Links.
How many Share-Link Clicks in what Time-Frame is considered Excessive Traffic?
For example, is 20 clicks within 24 hours considered Excessive Traffic? Or more? Or less?
Thank you,
funkdawggg

Hey funkdawggg, thanks for posting your query today.
It basically has to do with the downloads rather than views.
So depending on your plan, it's either the GB limit or number of downloads limit, whichever comes first.
You can see more info about this here.
Let me know if you have any questions.

I have shared the link to a folder of photos of our school trip with 30 parents and had this suspension message… is there no way around this? What if I create a new link will that reset the suspension - is it only that link that’s suspended of the folder/downloads itself?

A file or folder that's about 666 MB downloaded 30 times would put you right at your daily bandwidth limit. If just one of those people downloaded more than once or someone shared the link with someone else, you'd exceed the limit.
You should have information in your email on how to resolve it, and the link that Hannah provided above explains it as well. A first-time suspension lasts 24 hours and it usually lifted automatically. Each subsequent suspension lasts longer. The only way to lift a suspension immediately is to upgrade to a paid account.
