Hi everyone,
Iād like to report a potential privacy issue related to Dropboxās Visited Links section.
Iāve noticed that whenever I open a Dropbox link for example, a shared link or a private file , itās automatically added to the Visited Links list of the logged-in account (without even alerting or notifyin the user). The issue is that there doesnāt seem to be any option to delete or clear these links.
This becomes a real privacy problem in certain scenarios. For instance, when using a business account as part of a team, if I open a personal or confidential Dropbox link (even by mistake), that link remains permanently visible in the Visited Links section, with no way to remove it.
For that reason, Iām writing this post from my personal account, since this exact situation happened to me. I opened a few personal Dropbox links while being logged into my business account, and I donāt want to involve or alert the team admin about it, but now those links are permanently stored under āVisited Links.ā
Before posting here, I did some research and also voted for an existing feature (idea) request on this topic. Iāve noticed that several users have already reported the same issue, and, if Iām not mistaken, the earliest posts date back around three years (and closed as solved). (many others are also on reddit)
If thatās really the case, Iām a bit concerned that something which seems to be a privacy problem is still being treated as a feature request, rather than an issue that needs to be addressed.
So Iād like to ask:
- Is there currently any way to delete visited links?
- If my assumption are correct, can this please be escalated as an issue?
- Most importantly ā can anyone else (for example, the team admin or others) see the links listed in Visited Links, or are they strictly private to the individual user?
Having control over visited links would be important for maintaining privacy and compliance with company policies.

meantime thank you very much for your attention and future dedication on this matter.
P.s. Sorry folks if ive posted in a wrong section, ive searched (maybe wrong) for something privacy related without success.
