I can't paste the screenshots I capture on Windows
For some reason I cannot pate the screenshots after I press "Print Screen". I have dropbox on my pc set to copy link when image is ready and then there is a pop up on the bottom right when I take a picture and it says "press ctrl+v to copy" BUT IT DOESN'T work at all!

Hey zzzzzeng - sorry to hear about this.
Can you let us know some additional information about the problem you're facing so that we make sure we're on the same page?

Upon checking, it works as requested/discussed. In my case I checked checkbox Save Screenshots to Dropbox, but I kept Copy Link to Clipboard checked as well. It saved a copy of the screenshot, but replaced image in the clipboard with a link. Once I unchecked Copy Link to Clipboard, it continued to copy the image to the Dropbox and kept the image in the clipboard.

How come in the past you were able to save a copy of the screenshot in dropbox and still have the same image on the clipboard? Why you don't have an option to keep new changes backward compatible with that behavior? Same as above comment: "I want to save my screenshots to dropbox. I DO NOT want dropbox to override PrtScr and force me to paste URLs instead of the actual image."

Thank you for the update Ryan.
It seems it is working as it did previously now. Thank you for listening!

Hi madsami -- I totally understand the frustration. We've been working on this feature, and you should now have the option to disable the pop-up, as well as the link copying.
If you navigate to the Desktop app's Preferences (Click the Dropbox icon in the taskbar > click the account/avatar > Preferences > Screenshots), you should be able to toggle these on/off.
Please let me know if that doesn't work for you!
Cheers,
Ryan

Commenting to show my frustration with this change.
I want to save my screenshots to dropbox.
I DO NOT want dropbox to override PrtScr and force me to paste URLs instead of the actual image. I also don't care for the popup. Add more customization options instead of forcing users.
Why are you overriding default OS implementation with something worse?

Hi, vsh81 -- Thanks for flagging this. Our team is looking into this issue.
Can you confirm what operating system you're on?
Also, are there any programs that you can paste into, or is this happening across all the programs you try to paste into?
Cheers,
Ryan

I am with psychomaniac189 here
I use the printscreen function A LOT in my work, and I usually PASTE what I printscreened to the instant messaging channel/group/work community I am at.
It has been a few days that I am UNABLE to PASTE the images I printscreened. IT SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK. it only saves to dropbox, but does not show in clipboard. period.
PLEASE FIX THIS.if this is too hard to understand, then you have more problem than just a NEW BUG.

That's correct, the sync icons are affected by other cloud platforms which have their own sync icons.
When those apps are no longer running, then the icons aren't active any more.
