I can't see latest synced files in a shared folder
I am sharing a folder with a partner but I can't see the latest files from her side even though it show that he folder and syncing is upto date on my side

No it seems like the fillder on het comp dont nonect to the one on the internet

Have you checked Dropbox is running on the computer? If it is what does it say if you mouse over its icon on the status bar?
