I get a conflicted copy when exporting videos via a third-party app.

Hi there,

Every time I export a video from Premiere - since the process takes a while - Dropbox creates a new copy (something about conflicted copy and a timestamp).  Do I need to pause Dropbox every time I export a video now?

Dropbox has become increasingly buggy since the last big upgrade.  Making files online only without my permission, messing everything up.

Thanks,

Fede

It also happens when exporting through Premiere directly. I haven't been able to test it while the Dropbox app was closed since the last time it happened, exporting it again solved the issue.

I'm also on MacOs, Macbook Pro M4 Max.

Hmm, I see. So, is the issue resolved now, or does it only go away if you export your files twice each time, domw?

Hey sproutsteg! Thanks for chiming in here, as well.

This seems to be specific to the third-party apps that you’re using, and not Dropbox.

Have you also quit the Dropbox app as a test, and the issue persists?

There has also been a new stable Dropbox app version released in the meantime (237.4.5655), so please make sure that your desktop app has been updated.

The conflicted copies are always working perfectly fine, so usually I delete the corrupted file and rename the conflicted copy

I wouldn't say it's resolved, the error occurs sporadically. I haven't been able to replicate it, so I don't know if there is anything specific that triggers it.
