I have a raw photo on my iPhone, that I need to upload to Dropbox, but the MB change.

Hi. New here. I have a raw photo from my iPhone that I want to share with someone. When I transfer it over to Dropbox it goes from 87MB to 16MB.

How do I upload and transfer the whole photo?

Hey bryanphury, let's jump right into this!

You mentioned that the size changes when you transfer the file to Dropbox. Can I ask you to clarify the steps you follow, in order to upload your raw image from your iPhone to Dropbox?

Do you access our mobile app, and upload the picture by clicking the + icon, or do you use your browser on your iPhone?

Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

Hi bryanphury, is the file size still different after you uploaded the file?

Yes. Do I need to do it from a desktop? Is there a setting on the mobile app that reduces or compressed file data???

When you're tapping the plus icon to add the file, are you choosing the option to upload an image, or to 'create or upload a file'?

Use a file transfer method that allows keeping the original file format and size, such as connecting your iPhone to your computer via a direct USB connection.
