i DO have that icon on my travel computer, so not sure why it's not on my other system

Hey AShimada1!
You don't necessarily need to uninstall the app first. You can simply reinstall using the link I provided.
If this doesn't work, and if you still don't see the relevant icon I'd suggest that you add an example file inside your Dropbox folder, and check if it syncs to your account online.

Also, for your missing dropbox icon issue, you can manually control which apps appear there. If dropbox is installed but not appearing, you can check to see if you can manually add here.
Right click on the taskbar
Select 'Taskbar Setttings'
Scroll down to Other system tray icons (or in some builds, Taskbar corner overflow).
You’ll see a list of apps with toggles. Find Dropbox in the list (hopefully 🤞)
