3 years agoHey anonymous, sorry to hear about your syncing issue.
Can you please let us know the app's exact status and version as shown in your menu bar on your Mac?
Also, could you have a look at the app's preferences under the sync tab and let us know your Dropbox folder's location?
Any additional information or screenshots you can share are more than welcome!

3 years agoHi Walter,
The status is: All Files Are Up To Date. Dropbox Version is v182.4.6427. The Dropbox folder location is:
/Users/kapz/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox.
I modified an excel file and saved it. Then took screenshots of it saving and dropbox still not updating...you can look at the clock on top right.

Thanks for the additional information and the screenshots too anonymous
Based on your Dropbox folder's location, it looks like you're on the updated desktop app for MacOS on File Provider.
That said, could you update to the latest version of the app from this page directly and let us know if the issue persists?

Okay so I downloaded and updated Dropbox to 183.4.7058, modified a file and saved it, the app still says modified 9 hours ago!
However the file I just modified has sync issues as per this screenshot:

Also, I put Dropbox in Firewall exception, turned off firewall completely...nothing seems to solve the issue, every new file is showing under sync issue dialog box. Only rebooting the whole system updates dropbox files properly.
