My client has edit permissions on a shared folder and just got a "no access" error

The client just uploaded information 6 days ago with no problems. However today received the no access warning. What has changed.

Hi LeoLady, it's possible that something is affecting their connection to the Dropbox site, or they are accessing it while using a different account.

Without any further details, there wouldn't be any other steps we can suggest at this time.

    Mark Hannah,

    Good day,

As you suggested Mark, I inquired with my client if she was using another computer to access the portal. I never got a response but the user has been sporadically been able to upload some information; however, it still takes me having to request another submission via email and then they use the portal and it is there. So, I am still not sure what is happening. Any suggestions or just move on?

Check they are still a member at http://www.dropbox.com/share AND that they are using the right account LeoLady . What sometimes happens is they try and access links on different machines and so actually clicking on it with somebody elses account which doesnt have access.

    Hi Hannah,

Thanks for your response.  Yes, the client did have access before and has previously shared information within the past week.  This is for a shared folder that I created for my client to access.

I am unable to get a screenshot at this moment.

I hope these details help with our troubleshooting, if you need anything else please let me know. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reaching out to us, LeoLady.

Would you mind clarifying this a bit? Are you talking about a shared folder?

Was a member of the folder previously able to upload files, but is now getting a "no access" error?

Can you send me a screenshot of the error, so I can take a look?

    Thanks in advance!
