Not able to add shared folder to my Dropbox
Hi - they didn't have File sharing on here...so i just picked this one. I am having trouble trying to download a shared file from email to go onto my dropbox account on my MAC...and unless I pay $2...

Well - I kind of figured it out....I gave them my old account email address, and it seemed to work....but I had specifically gotten a different account with my new email address....so I still don't know why it's doing that.
Thank you for your help!

You'll need to explain the issue you're having, the steps taken, error message you're receiving, etc., before we'll know how to assist you.

A company I am working on a project with - emailed me a Shared dropbox file. I used to be able to click on it and it would automatically download into my Dropbox on my computer....but it doesn't.
I can click on the shared dropbox in the folder they sent in the email....but I can only view the files and I can't work on them (one time I hit upload and it started uploading all of MY files (including my personal taxes) to the folder the company sent me (I hope to gawd they didn't steal my identity!)....so I don't want to hit THAT button!
I need this file for work tomorrow. I also need this file to be able to be available to everyone that's shared, in real time as we are constantly making changes.
I also tried another thing and tried to do a Team Folder....and something, IDK what, is downloading on my desktop DB....I can't see what's downloading.
I also quit it and reopened DB (it didn't ask for my password), but it still didn't share.
Should I download the shared email file onto my desktop and then add that to my DB desktop? I just wasn't sure if it would be "shared" to make changes in real time...i.e. if I would "break" the sharing if I did that.
I hope this is enough information....I've included screenshots:
Here is what was sent to me in my email....and I clicked on the Add To Dropbox..

But as you can see....it didn't go into my dropbox on my Mac:

And this is what it looks like when I click on it in my email....but I can't edit/change the files that I need to :

Sorry - here is the image of the email that was sent to me (I had to edit the name/email....and this is SO not intuitive!):

Hey Stephermryan, just wanted to clarify a couple of things.
What happened after you clicked on the "add to Dropbox" button in the email?
Did the folder get added to your Dropbox online, but didn't sync to your computer's Dropbox folder?
Do you see the folder in your Shared page and in your All files page?

Thanks for responding....this is what I see when I go online and it did NOT sync to my computer's DB folder:
This is a photo of my DB folder on my computer:
Since I need to access this file TODAY....should I just try to download the file from the email onto my desktop and then drag it into my DB folder on my computer's DB folder? Will it still sync w/everyone?
