Online only option isn't working on Mac OS
Hey all,
I've recently had some trouble with Dropbox files taking up hundreds of GBs on my Mac's internal storage. When I select "Make file online-only," nothing happens. My Dropbox version is 219.4.4463, and my macOS version is Sonoma 14.6.1.
I’d appreciate any help! Thanks.

Hi foriforifori, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you provide more detail as to what is happening?
Do the files have any sync icons on them in Finder? Are they changing to cloud icons?
Any other info or screenshots would be helpful!

hey jay,
some of the files do have cloud icons, others have the locally synced check, but 99% don’t have any thing next to it.
thanks

Thanks for the info. Files without any sync icons could mean that they're 'available', so this means they would switch to online-only if the computer is running out of space.
Could you try marking the files and folders again as online-only and let me know how it goes?
