Hi FranMel, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
How did you share the file to the user?
Was it via shared link, or a direct share to the file?
This will help me to assist further!

I do upload file and then once its loaded I hit the little share button all the way to the right and add the recipients
Never happened to me before and I have been doing this for years??? I'm stumped- Not sure if the issue is at me sending it or him opening it
Thanks

If you add the recipients, then it means you're sharing a file or folder directly to a user's Dropbox account, so they would need to sign in to view the file or folder.
If you'd rather not have them do this, you can share a link to the file or folder, so it can be viewed on the site.

Thanks- They are signed in to dropbox. When they try to read the file it says apple password required?? This is the first time it has ever done this in years to the same recipient- Is it me or them? I am uploading the file and sending it to their dropbox??? Why would it ask for a password? I am now unable to send them anything- it keeps asking to enter an apple password?

Hi FranMel, would you be able to share a screenshot of the screen they keep receiving on their end?
Just make sure none of their personal info is shown there, such as passwords or usernames.

I asked them to send me one - have not received it yet. I will when they send it
Thanks
