Rename new file if a file with the same name already exists.
When I try to save a file with a name already taken by another file can the first file be automatically renamed rather than replacing the already existing one

Can you let me know which Dropbox platform you’re currently using?
Also, when saying that you’d like the original file to be automatically renamed, do you mean that you’d like the number (1) to be added next to it, for example?
In general, it's the other way round; for example, if you upload a new file with the same name as another file in the same location, it'd be the new file that gets renamed and a number (1) is added to it.
