Right-click no longer works

Yesterday, Dropbox worked fine: when I right clicked on an item in the Dropbox folder on my Mac desktop, an array of options popped up, including one for creating a Share link. Today, that right click doesn't work and no options pop up.

I know this question has been asked/answered before here, and I've read the prior solutions, but they don't see to apply to the Sonoma OS.

I spent two hours on the phone yesterday with Apple Support, trying to fix an unrelated issue. At some point, I may have inadvertently made a change to settings or preferences that turned off right click functioning. That's the only explanation I can think of for why it worked yesterday but not today.

Can anyone offer any suggestions? I'm using Sonoma 14.2.1 on a 2023 Apple M3 iMac. Thank you.

Are you not getting a right-click menu at all, or are you getting a right-click menu that just doesn't have the Dropbox options available?

If it's the latter, is the Dropbox application running and visible in your menu bar?

Hi, Dropbox is visible in my menu bar. I quit and relaunched, just in case.

I get no right-click menu at all when I right click something in my Dropbox folder. But now I notice that right click isn't working at all, in any way, so it's not a Dropbox-specif issue. I must have changed settings on my trackpad at some point.

That's where I was going with that. Try a Control-Left Click, just to make sure you can still get a context-menu.
