Hi Megan,
I'm new to Dropbox.
Was there an option prior to what is now just pdf/png?
I have colleagues here who have option to save to jpeg which is preferred as we import data to adobe acrobat.
Trying to streamline our process ...

3 years agoCreating a jpeg during the scanning process has never been an option on the Dropbox mobile app. We do not allow for saving as a jpeg because that is considered a 'lossy' file format, meaning during compression of the file it will loose valuable data. Primarily text in your scans would be especially sensitive to blurring on lossy compression like the jpeg file format.
By using a 'lossless' file format like PDF or PNG we ensure your scan is crisp and fully readable.
You can learn a little more about Lossless vs. Lossy files via the attached image.
