Solved

Sync is getting stuck and won't complete

Sync never finishes,  Every morning I check the status in the Dropbox app.  It's the same 26GB that never completes.  I am only using 32% of my Dropbox account, so it's not the size.  I'm up to date on payment.

Is there a way to see a single concise list of the files/folders it is trying to sync?  Either in the Dropbox app or via a browser at the Dropbox site?

Thank you, Peter

You could try finding and moving it out of the Dropbox folder petrusrung22 - renaming it might also help.

Have you rebooted your computer at all lately by the way?

Sorry, could you clarify what you mean by that? Could you attach a screenshot of the Dropbox folder as it appears in Finder?

    OK,

Here is a screenshot showing some files in the cloud, other ones are dowloaded, but no sign of folders or files waiting for synchronisation.

    Thanks for that, Michel.

Can you also follow the steps here, to make sure that Dropbox has full disk access and let me know if that helps?

Problem has been solved by a DB technician : disconnect/reconnect Dropbox from account.

    Thank for your help.

6 files are stuck on sync, which happens time to time. I will open Dropbox on the web and it will upload, or I might right click the file and force it, something like that. But nothing is working out.

I have uninstalled the app in the past, but I really don't want to go to that length as I always get really nervous.

There were other issues this AM with Drop Box, some folders had a cloud or a brown file. Some I didn't need, they were unimportant, others I had a dupe somewhere else in Dropbox, so I am good.

(And it's things like this that make me take precautions and backup on USB.)

Sorry to hear about this, HiThere555.

We do have an article in our Help Center that will give you some tips and troubleshooting steps for such issues.

Can you take a look and let me know if it helps?
