Why is Dropbox indexing one particular file?
I have two computers connected to saw DB folders. One of them (on the left) continues to signal that it is Indexing a particular excel file when the cursor is hovering over it, in spite of the fact that has not been changed in days.
The other computer (on the right) does not signal that it is indexing but simply reads "Up to date"
Does anyone know why this is?
In addition (although this may not be related to DB) Microsoft Windows Search Indexer is using 84% of memory.
Thanks,
Ralph

Hi RalphHawaii, thanks for messaging the Community!
There isn't any reason why the app might be indexing a certain file. The app does occasionally reindex files on the account.
Are you experiencing any sync issues on that machine?
This will help me to assist further!

Hi Jay,
Thank you for answering.
No, at this time there are no sync problems. However the Microsoft Windows Search Indexer had been taking up enormous memory resources and today after the reinstall, it is not.
I did an uninstall and reinstalled of DB because of File Explorer issues slowing down the computer to the point of freezing file explorer windows.
The file explorer problems have not reappeared since uninstalling and reinstalling DB. Not sure why this is the case. I had been deleting DB files from the 2nd computer and then the primary computer seemed to be affected.
