Why was my sharing activity paused?
Hi.
I almost don't use my personal dropbox account and yesterday I got this message "We’ve interrupted your sharing activity. For details or to contact support...". My free account can't contact support and have no other details.
Does anyone have any idea on how to solve this?
Thanks!
Luiz

Hey imaginare, thanks for getting back to us.
Are you still having this issue today?

Hello Megan...I am "imaginare", not Luis. I received an email today saying I was banned for excessive public activity. I haven't had any public activity. I have only a few folders on Dropbox, last one was uploaded in September. I share only with a few people.

Hi there, imaginare, let's jump right into this!
It sounds like access to your sharing was paused on your account.
Have you checked this article to see if any of the files you're trying to share, or have already shared breaches the Terms of Service? You can also take a look here for more info.
Lastly, how long has it been since you received an email from Dropbox and also got the error message as well?
Let us know more and we'll take it from there.

I am having the same problem. I have only four folders on Dropbox and rarely use the site. Why am I being banned for excessive public activity? How do we fix?

Just dropping a note for future viewers in this thread, if you receive a message about your sharing activity, check out this article as a first step to see if there's any reasons you may have feel outside of compliance.
