Deleted shared folders, but my space is still full
Hi, I have deleted shared folders and files, but still have no storage space, I can see that the space is still taken up with shared folders, but when I go to remove myself from these folders, I can not find them, they are not in shared or deleted files.

Hey Cressida Downey, thanks for reaching out to us.
Can you check your Shared page here and let me know if you can locate any shared folders?
Thanks!

Yes these 2 folders I want to keep, the rest were deleted, are these 2 the ones taking up all my space?

Hmm, they might be, Cressida.
If you'd like to check, you can follow the steps here, to calculate their size and see if that's the case.

Thanks Hannah, but that is not working, nothing comes up when I hover over the folder, all I can do is click on the 3 dots that say more, but there is no size button to select

Hey Cressida Downey, have you made sure you're not actually accessing the folder you wish to calculate?
You'd need to be one level above it, in order to check. For instance: in this path: dogs < cats < animals if you wish to check for the folder named cats you'd need to access the folder dogs since it's one level before it, and calculate there.
In any case, feel free to send us a screenshot, in order for me to have a visual of what you see on your end in both your plan page, and when you try to calculate the folder.

Thanks for that, no I am hovering over the top folder, the only place I get options to do anything is over the 3 dots and I get more but in that drop down there is no size option. I took a screen shot but I can not see where I can attach it?

Hey Cressida Downey - sorry to jump in, but I just wanted to mention that you can attach your screenshot through the camera icon within your reply's box.
When it comes to your account's quota allocation, could you have a look at your plan tab and let us know what's reported there?

Thanks Walter, I am using web based dropbox so maybe that is why? I can not see a plan tab either...I have attached my screenshot

I'm sorry, I forgot to put a link to the plan tab Cressida Downey
Here it is: https://www.dropbox.com/account/plan
As for the options for the shared folder, could you select it first and then click on the three dots to see what options you get?

Yes one of the other dropbox support people said that my shared folders are taking up all the space, I assume the link is a link to my dropbox space.
I did as you suggested regarding opening the file then hovering etc and I get the same options
