Dropbox says my folder is full when it's not
My drop box keeps telling me my folder is full and i have no more space. It says that ive used 5 GB out of 2.2 GB and need to upgrade my plan.
I've already deleted all files in my folder, including deleted files and shared folders but I still get the samme "error".
Hey Calle3400, let me explain more!
Could you please let us know what exactly is reported in your account's plan tab?
Do you have any shared folders in your account perhaps? Can you check your Backup page, and let me know what you'll find there?
Check the pages I hyperlinked and let me know what you find.
Thanks!

Hi Calle3400, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you confirm the amount of quota you have on your account, and how much is being used up on this page?
This will help me to assist further!

Hello Jay,
I have the basic storage of 2 GB and the system keeps telling me that I've used 5.5 GB even though everything is already deleted. - Mark1 month ago

Hello Mark,
Then I'm not sure what you are asking. Could you try to explain what you mean?

Go to the page that Jay, and me, linked to (https://www.dropbox.com/account/plan) and tell us what it says, or better yet post a screenshot.

Hi there, Calle3400 and welcome to the Dropbox Community! 😊
I am glad to see your issue is resolved - an alert saying a folder is full when it doesn’t appear to be can definitely be confusing, so it’s great to hear things are back to normal now. Thanks so much for coming back to update the thread as well .. it really helps others who might run into the same situation!
By the way, I’m Theresa 👩💻, one of the community managers here at Dropbox HQ. I’d love to know… how do you usually use Dropbox? I’m always curious how people make Dropbox part of their day-to-day.
Looking forward to hearing more,
