I have 2TB worth of space, but when I try to upload 769 GB, I'm told I don't have enough room.

Can you send us a screenshot of the exact error you're getting so that we can have a look too?

I did find that I have hidden files but can't make my way back to that page.

This did not work. I still can't upload 900MG to a 2TB cloud space.

In that case, you should be able to delete it from your backups page to make up space KentB.
Let me know if this helps!

I'm using Dropbox Plus and have tried several ways to upload. It appears that a previous backup is not being deleted from the Dropbox. Sorry for the delay.

Welcome aboard our forum, KentB! Hope you’re doing well.
Can you clarify the Dropbox platform you’re using to upload your files? If you’re using the desktop app, is it possible that this error is originating from your local OS due to lack of hard drive space?
If not, I'd like a screenshot of what you see and I’ll take a look for you.
Keep me updated.
