My account keeps saying it's full - but it isn't
Hi - I have a 6.3 GB basic account with less that 1.2 GB of data in it, but I keep getting notifications saying the account is full, and it isn't syncing. I've double checked my folders and cleaned out all deleted items, but it makes no difference. I have been unable to contact any sort of support through the website, so am hoping someone might know how to fix this. Thanks.

Hi JavierAutos, thanks for sending us these screenshots!
Could you try what I suggested above, and access this link: https://www.dropbox.com/backups/PC ?
Do you see any content there? If so, feel free to delete them.
Keep me posted!
- Dianasuris3 years agoNew member | Level 2Hi my Dropbox is close to its storage cap. I don’t don’t to pay for extra storage. How would I set it to automatically delete old videos from CCTV cameras ?
- Neil453 years agoNew member | Level 2I connected a new device, a windows pc, and it initiated Dropbox Backup automatically, taking me over my data usage limit. I deleted and switched off Backup. I have used about 1G of storage but the account is still stuck on telling me I am over the limit. How do I fix this? Thank you.

Hi JavierAutos, do you see the option on the far right part of the screen?
If not, can you try accessing the same link, using a different browser maybe?

Hi Mark, Hannah, whoever reads this message.
My patience in dealing with the backup issue in my dropbox is TOOOO much. I can't stand everyone throwing ideas at me and telling me I SHOULD be able to log in to my account & I SHOULD be able to delete folders and files. yet I can't and no one is taking the time to LOOK at my account and get the raw truth.
I'm TERMINATING my account. I have downloaded the data I want to keep, the rest can be deleted.
I want to talk to SOMEONE who can LOOK at my ACCOUNT and see if it will work.
Then in the future when I need storage I will set up something else.
DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT TO TALK TO SOMEONE THROUGH FACETIME? amber

1. Go to your account, look for the “Dropbox Backup”
2. Select the backup that is taking up all the space and “Delete” it
3. After deleting, uncheck for the “hide deleted backups”, look for the file that you have just deleted and “permanently delete” the backup.
This solution solved my issue. Hope it works!
