Storage on a family account not full but not allowing me to add files

I am a member of a family account (not the manager) and we have a 2TB plan, the plan has only had 1.1TB of storage used, I am trying to add more files but it is saying I don't have enough space.

How do I fix this?

Are you actually a member of the Family plan, or did someone on the Family plan just invite you to join a shared folder? If it's a shared folder, then you don't have access to the 2TB of space in the Family plan. You're still limited to the available space in your own account.

What plan does it say you're on when you check your Plan page?

Great point Rich, I have double checked and I am a memeber of the family plan. On the plan page it says my subscription is Dropbox family, then goes on to say the familiy is using 54.83% ofour 2TB. My usage is showing as 1.03Gb files, and 1.14Gb of back ups

Thanks for letting us know, Squigley.

Can you please send us a screenshot of the error message about not having enough space?

Just make sure to hide any personal info on the screenshot.

Thanks for that, Squigley, and sorry for jumping in.

Can you clarify what’s the overall size of the files you’re trying to upload to Dropbox?

I have tried to move 50gb of files from my pc to drop box. But I get a similar issue when trying to move lesser amounts.

Hey Squigley, if you try to add some small files in your account using the website, do you see an error message there as well?
