Can I select what folders I want to sync on first install of Dropbox?

When I first install the mac Dropbox app, can I select what folders I want to sync or do I need to install dropbox then go into dropbox preferences and uncheck the folders I don't want to sync?

  • Hi 512kilobytes, thanks for your message!

When you install the Dropbox desktop application, you'll get an option to select the folders you want to sync before the installation is finished.

You can later change these folders from the selective sync settings when your app is up and running.

If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.
