Can't get the Dropbox folder on the sidebar on Mac OS

Application Affected
Dropbox App
Device
MacBook Air - Sequoia v 15.5

Somehow I deleted the app from the favorites sidebar in finder and can't get it to go back over.  When I drag it over to the favorites column in finder, the app won't stay.  How can I get it back to favorites?

.

Hi MegRunsTam, you're trying to move the Dropbox app to the sidebar, which is the issue. You're not moving the actual Dropbox folder, which is what you need to do.

Please could you locate the Dropbox folder on your machine, and then drag that folder itself to the sidebar.

Hi there MegRunsTam  and welcome to the Dropbox Community. I’m so pleased to hear you got the Dropbox folder back in your Finder sidebar and hey thanks so much for updating us. It’s always helpful for others who might run into the same thing.

Since you’re using Dropbox on macOS, I’d love to know how do you usually use it day to day? Whether it’s for work, creative projects, or keeping things organised, I’m always curious to hear how people are making the most of it.

    Looking forward to hearing more,

    T😸 (Dropbox Community Manager)

I use Dropbox to keep files organized, free up space on my hard drive and have the ability to access my files from anywhere and on any computer.  Makes life a lot easier.
