Can't install Dropbox on Win 11 Pro - "download failed" error

After reinstalling my computer, same hard- and software, I can't install Dropbox. Tried all solitions, automatic and manual, without firewall, etc., to no avail.

Says it confirms the downloading failed. What so ever that means!

  • I had the same problem and using the offline installer worked 👍

Hi there, 01SK1975, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Have you tried installing the app using the offline installer, to see if that helps?

    Keep me posted.

    Yes, with same error.

"Confirmation that the downloaded file failed" ... probable it didn't download properly. The installationfile does so though.

Tried using a different browser, first one was Edge. Now trying Brave it keeps waiting for download and retrying, until it also fails.

    Thanks for the update, 01SK1975.

Hmm, can you try another browser, like Firefox or Chrome and let me know what you see with those?

Hey Roumor, sorry to hear that!

Have you tried downloading the installer from a different browser, to see if that makes a difference?
