"The download failed"
I am running a brand new Macbook pro on the latest OS. I have downloaded the installer file without issue, but when I run it, it says "the download failed" instantly. It retries every 10 seconds and fails. I have checked the FAQs and checked the security settings but there is no firewall or anti-malware software running. I have tried follwing the link to the offline downloader at https://www.dropbox.com/downloading?type=full but then the download does not start. If I click "restart download" I get a 404 file not found error in the browser.
I can't be the only person with this issue. I have both a personal and a business account on my user account, could this be causing an issue?
Hi all
Thanks for reporting it. Can you try using this URL instead? http://dropbox.com/downloading (without ?type=full)

I don't think so. I'm having the same issue with just one personal account.

Any ideas? It would be great if the offline installer link worked

Same. Just needed to do a clean install of Sierra and the one app that won't download for me is dropbox.

I have the same problem with a brand new macbook air early 2015. I have also tried it with my old computer (Macbook Pro mid 2010) by doing a clean reinstall and the same problem occurs.
