Drobox using too much internet data without being used on Windows

Hello

I am using a mobile hotspot Wifi on my PC and I noticed that Dropbox is using a few gigabytes everyday without being used.

In a couple of days I used 20GB of data and it is slowing down my connection!

is there anything I can do except stop syncing? 

Is there a way to optimize this data usage?? and why is this happening?

I hope to find some answers. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Terr937, thanks for posting today!

     

    Aside from pausing syncing, or quitting the app, there isn't another method to prevent data usage.

     

    Do you have any shared folders on your account, or are you using Dropbox Backup at all?

     

    This will help me to assist further!
