Dropbox Hijacks Camera Mac/OS

Hi.  I have a Sony Alpha connected to my Mac using the Imaging Edge Webcam software.  It's important for Zoom video to work for me.  However, if I have dropbox running I get the error message "Failed...

I had exactly the same problem, and your post stopped days of frustration trying to work out what the problem was.

 

Quitting dropbox fixes the problem with Sony Imaging Edge Desktop not working on Ventura. 

 

I look forward to a fix from Dropbox.

I bought an inexpensive hdmi to usb adapter on Amazon (under $20) and no issues using that.  It stinks that Dropbox can't resolve this and that Sony doesn't have any updated mac software for this as well.  Paying so much for this stuff, and it can't work without a $20 fix.  Bah
