DropBox won't finish the Set Up on Win10

Hello !

I downloaded the .exe and installed DropBox (I just reinstalled Win10 on my PC)

The first part went well but the Set Up process takes forever and gets nowhere... No error message, nothing...

The blue shapes keep dancing on the window on my screen

 

I reach my files on the site withour problem but the app won't install on my PC

No idea what to do 🙄

    Thanks for the info, if the app is definitely not installed, then try downloading the offline installer (choose the appropriate version for your computer) and let me know how it goes.

    Do i need to create a new Dropbox account with nothing in it or is it just not compatible with my system?

    In that case be sure to check that you have only TWO devices registered, if you already have 3, you can't install the app on a fourth one...

    I should not have any devices connected to the account. The one that was using it on died and i have recycled it. how do i find out how many devices it is promulgating to?  I have looked in settings and manage account, don't see a list of devices anywhere.

    AVeenstra  Sign in to your account on line 

    You'll find the list of linked devices under the SECURITY tab

    Thank you! That was the issue. It set up in seconds. 

     

    There were old PCs on the account.

     

    It would be helpful if instead of dancing boxes, we got a message saying that you have too many devices on this account, go to security to review device list or upgrade here.
