Getting a "Missing app to open Dropbox-link. Try app store" error on Windows 11 after reinstalling

I had dropbox desktop app and it stopped syncing. I uninstalled and tried to start over downloading desktop app. I keep getting an Error message that says missing app to open dropbox-link. Try app store. What app am I missing.

Thanks for posting on our Community, dmccorkleporter

Did you reinstall the Dropbox app on your computer via this link

If yes, can you send me a screenshot of the error you keep getting?

    Keep me updated.

Uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted 3 times. Says I need an app for Dropbox-link to work and go to App Store to find one. It’s a particular folder that won’t sync from web. An important folder. Haven’t checked every single one.

Sorry for multiple reply’s but I keep thinking of things. Everything syncs fine to my MacBook and even phone.

Hey dmccorkleporter, thanks for the additional info.

It would really help us get a visual of the issue as well, if you send us a screenshot, whenever you can.

        Thanks!
