Issue installing Dropbox Passwords on Mac - I don't receive the confirmation on my iPhone to log in.
Hello,
I have just installed the dropbox application on my Mac.
After signing in the program asks for a confirmation from my iPhone, however I don't get anything on my phone....
After clicking to ask to send the request again, the same thing happens....
After trying to install on my phone, the same thing happens.... impossible to find the link on my computer????
Can someone help me even get the passwords app started?

Hi RichardHawke! Thanks for posting on our forum today.
Do you mean that you installed the Dropbox Passwords browser extension on your Mac device perhaps? Or are you referring to the desktop app that’s used to sync files among multiple devices and your web account?
Can you send me a visual of what you see when trying to sign in from both your devices? In case there’s any personal info showing, make sure to mask it beforehand.
I’ll be able to further help this way.

Hi Nancy,
Yes it was the Dropbox Passwords browser extension on may Mac device.
Unfortunately the original screen will not come back, but I now have this that shows up when I try to start the program:
After clicking on the link I get this:

Thanks for the screenshot, Richard! The web extension seems to be all set now, from what I understand.
If you click on the Edit button, or visit another website on your Safari browser, are you able to save your logins to Dropbox Passwords? You can also see more details here on how to do this.

Thanks for the answer, I will take a look at that.
For my iPhone I still have this screenshot (sorry, it is in French but I think you will understand).
I don't get any notification on my computer either...

When I click on the dropbox password logo in safari I get this screen:
So I also get the feeling that the validation process has not gone through correctly.
Thanks for your feed back.

Hey RichardHawke, thanks for the nudge here.
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Passwords app, to see if that helps?
Also, it might be far fetched, but have you tried a re-start on your device?

I've been able to finally fix it up. Thanks for all of the help!

We're glad to hear it's sorted now RichardHawke
Could you maybe share the steps you took to rectify this issue on your end?

Hi Richard and Dropbox staff,
Yes I would also appreciate to know the steps you tool to rectify this issue please! (And I'm also French 😊.)
I have a sync issue between my Chrome browser extension and my iPhone app.
I logged out from the iPhone app, and when I log back in it sends an notification on my PC, which I approuve, and then nothing...
And if a use another option (using the recovery terms), only old passwords saved on 2023 appear on my iPhone, and there's no syncing between my 2 devices.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Lilipom,
I just used the 'other options', as this was my initial setup (I had never used dropbox passwords before).
But it was syncing on some devices, but not sending the message on others... It wasn't very logical at all... 🙈
Sorry of being unable to help...
