Local indexing of Dropbox files on Mac

I have recently updated to version 170.4.5895 on MacOS Ventura 13.2.1 on Apple MacBook with M1 chip set. Indexing of Dropbox files stored locally on the Mac seems to be absent now. I can search...

    Apparently MacOS Ventura 13.3 will fix this when it finds its way onto my computer. 

     

    On my other (somewhat older) MacBook running macOS Monterey 12.6.4 it has been indicating that it is Indexing the same number of files for a couple of days now. 

    I shall simply wait and see if an update will resolve issues there too sometime.

I have just spent nearly 5 hours with Dropbox support on chat. After reinstalling the app and restarting my device several times the syncing started but only lasted for a few seconds, then it stayed as a static number of files to be synchronized... It does about 5 files then it freezes up. Utterly frustrating! This happened after the email received this morning stating "An updated version of Dropbox for macOS is ready".

Just yesterday I started to download my entire DropBox to make a secure offline backup copy and now this?! Seriously???
