New Dropbox desktop update is re-syncing everything.
This new update has messed how my Dropbox works on Desktop too. I also get the 'syncing' symbol on all of my folders, and for some reason Dropbox has decided that it needs to Sync all ~80,000 files a...

Same problem here. It is crippling my computer and slowing everything down. I have had to pause syncing indefinitely to be able to use my web browser at anything above an infuriatingly slow pace.
DropBox also appears to be arbitrarily flipping the offline/online status of some files.
I'm running Windows 10, version 22H2, OS build 19045.6332 on a Dell Latitude E7470.
Edit: Just after posting this, I unpaused syncing in order to grab a screenshot of the icon. The number of files it shows as indexing is now continually dropping, with only an estimated 8 minutes remaining to finish. I don't hear the fan working overtime any more and it is no longer slowing down the rest of my machine.
So pausing then resuming syncing seems to help correct the weird behavior.
Edit 2: Well **bleep**, the estimated time jumped back up above 20 minutes. And hovering over the task bar icon indicates it is still downloading 15K+ files

Sorry to hear that, Crabtree & Swee. Has the number of files dropped at all since you posted this, or is it still moving slow/seems to be stuck?
