New message notifications will not go away
I have several “unread” messages from Dropbox which when opened or marked as read the “2” displayed above the icon will not go away. The marked as read button does nothing and there appears to be no way to delete the messages ? Using app on new iPad Pro.
- I ended up removing App from iPhone and reloaded it. Bit of a faff but worked

Hey Phcalc, the most current version of the Dropbox app for iOS is currently the 318.2.4 one.
Can you please update it from your App Store, to see if that helps?
- Phcalc3 years agoHelpful | Level 6I’ve rebooted device, app, cleared cache. I have latest version. Problem still there. It’s changed to 4 unread now as another alert appeared.
Anything else to try. ? - Phcalc3 years agoHelpful | Level 6There is no update available in App Store.

The same issue continues to exist regardless of your suggestions. Please advise ?

I have the same issue on iPad. It says I have 2 notifications. There are actually 5 unread messages. I can try marking them as read and it does nothing. I can open each and every one and it does nothing. I can reboot and it does nothing. I can remove the app and reinstall it and it does nothing. This is clearly a software issue and Dropbox need to rectify it as soon as possible.

Hi all, thanks for flagging this with us.
For anyone who's still affected, could you completely uninstall the Dropbox app from your device and re-install it anew?
Let us know of any updates!
- Phcalc3 years agoHelpful | Level 6I logged out then logged back in. The errant alerts disappeared. I did not uninstall Dropbox. While the latter may work the easier former may work for you.
